Maycie (2)-- Her vocabulary is constantly amazing us. The other day, she saw Collin's cold pills and said" Daddy's medicine. Daddy has bad cough." She can sing her ABC's all the way through and even has the ending too! Her counting is also getting better. Maycie also loves to play all day long with her new toys and books from Christmas. She can get sassy at times but it's really funny when she tells me to be quiet when I sing songs...is my voice really that bad? Maycie has regressed a little in the potty training department. She was really great at telling me when she had to go to the bathroom during the day and staying dry all day (except nap times) but with the holidays, she's back in pull-ups. Now that the holidays are over we are working on it again. She loves to get "Ms" (M&Ms) for going to the bathroom which makes me think that it won't be long before we are back in the right direction. Maycie also interested in spelling lately. She thinks it's great when I spell out her name.
Miles (6 months)--He is officially crawling and sitting up on his own. He started to sit up on his own in early December and sort of crawling the week before Christmas. Miles would get up on his knees and hands and rock back & forth, then lunge towards something. At Christmas Miles figured out that if he moved a knee and a hand together then he would move, even if it was backwards. Now he is moving in the army crawl sort of way when he really wants something fast but other than that he is using his hands and knees together. We also think that he is getting his first tooth. His poor gums have been red and swollen for a week now but today I saw a little white bump. He's such a big, happy, giggly baby!!! We can't get enough of him.
Miles has his 6 month check up in a week so we'll see if he has passed Maycie in weight. Girls get ready for the results to see who the winner is. (My girlfriends and I have placed a friendly wager on it.)
